Progress Update: St Petersgate, Stockport – July 2022

St Petersgate is located within the heart of town Stockport town centre, approximately 6 miles south of Manchester City Centre. The site is a refurbishment development project which will see the site converted into a 5-storey residential development, inclusive of a single-storey extension to the top, to comprise 18 self-contained apartments. The development provides a mix of 1 and 2 bed apartments with some car parking to the rear of the property.

The site was previously used as offices comprising approximately 8,200sqft of net internal area becoming vacant in January 2021. It is situated opposite St Peters Square, providing communal green space for local residents and employees. 

St Petersgate is well served by public transport, situated within close proximity to Stockport train station which provides direct links to Manchester City Centre and beyond. Furthermore, the Manchester Metrolink has plans to extend its route into Stockport providing further accessibility to Greater Manchester. The immediate surrounding area is characterised by a number of offices and retail units, and it is less than a 5-minute walk into Stockport Town Centre, which contains numerous high street vendors alongside Stockport market hall which hosts a number of independent and professional traders. Stockport is continuing to experience significant investment in a range of regeneration projects which will create new jobs, homes, leisure opportunities and improve transport connections across Stockport even further.

One Heritage Construction are delivering the scheme, working alongside SSHARC Architects, Structural Engineers Kennedy Redford, Mechanical and Electrical engineers Crookes Walker and Principal Designers RJD to deliver the refurbishment of the building.  

Works are progressing well with completion expected later in 2022, ready for occupancy and rental in January 2023.
