Liberty House on Bank Street was built in 1894 and is a Grade II Listed former County Court House located in Sheffield City Centre within a Conservation Area.  The site benefits from access to central Sheffield’s amenities and facilities, including Sheffield train station which is within a 15-minute walk from the site. The surrounding area is  characterised by a mix of commercial and residential uses.

The main building is located to the North of Bank Street at the corner with New Street. It is constructed from local sandstone and is two storeys in height to Bank Street. The storeys have high floor to ceiling levels due to their former use which has allowed for a mezzanine to be installed to some units creating duplex apartments.  The rear building fronts Scargill Croft and is of traditional brick construction.

The scheme provides 23 Apartments in a mix of 1 bed, 1 bed duplex and 2 bed units.

One Heritage Construction are the principal contractors leading the delivery of this complex redevelopment. The supporting design team comprises of project managers Cube, SSHARC Architects, structural engineers Kennedy Redford, mechanical and electrical engineers Crookes Walker Consulting and principal designers RJD.

The development is progressing on site with the roof extension now complete and clad. Internally decoration and installation of kitchens and sanitaryware are well underway. Completion is anticipated later in 2022.
